Yamagashira
【 Hirado ｜ Saikai National Park 】
Yamagashira is a small, hilly area located in the central part of Ikitsuki Island to the northwest of Hirado. During the warmer months many cattle graze here. Its grassy area is actively maintained, as such places have become rare in Nagasaki recently. The contrast of green grassland and blue ocean from the observation point is wonderful. The herds of gazing cows produce an idyllic atmosphere. Moreover, it is also a good observation area for migratory birds such as the Oriental honey-buzzard.
